Pocket Battles
Celts vs. Romans
Designed by Paolo Mori and Francesco Sirocchi

The first in a series of pocket warfare, Pocket Battles takes you first to ancient times as Romans face the Celts. The size of the armies is agreed upon and formed according to the point values of the troops. Combat takes place in three zones and each zone has two areas (front and rear), while the engagement zone is in the middle. Each troop tile forms a unit and can fire ranged weapons and/or engage in melee. Some troops have special abilities which are described on the player aids.

It is a wargame that easy to learn, inexpensive, fast, portable and requires minimum table space!

Future series will feature armies from different eras and even different genres.

Contents: 60 tiles, 6 dice, 20 wound/order tokens, 2 player aids
No. of players: 2
Ages: 10+
Playing time: 30 minutes
MSRP: $15.00
Stock code: ZMG 4300

Pocket Battles
Elves vs. Orcs
Designed by Paolo Mori and Francesco Sirocchi

The second in the Pocket Battles series -- this time we go fantasy as elves and orcs clash for supremacy!

To play Pocket Battles, first you must agree on the size of the armies. Then you create your own army from among the available troop tiles: this is a very strategic part of the game. Combat comes next and it is fast and bloody. There are three sectors comprised of 15 zones that one can fight in. Thee are range and melee attacks, charges and some units even have special abilities (which are described on the player aids).

You can also use the armies here to fight armies from other Pocket Battle games: Elves vs. Romans, Orcs vs Celts!

[Demo Games] Z-Man Games Prolix!

Designed by Gil Hova

In Prolix, players score points by coming up with words whose letters match those of the tiles on the board. Unlike other word games, you don’t need all the letters of a word to be on the board to use that word. This means that you are free to use all those words you always wanted to use in other word games, but were always a few tiles or cards short! Of course, the letters in your word won’t score if they aren’t on the board, so even huge words can be stinkers if you don’t use them at the right time.

Letters score based on how rare they are and where they are on the board. Once you finish scoring your letters, all tiles move across the board, changing their value. If you have a great word, but it’s not your turn, you’re allowed to interrupt another player’s turn and score. But be careful, because you can lose points by interrupting with low-scoring words. And, of course, other players can interrupt your turn if they wish, or even force you to say a word by flipping the timer. A new type of word game!
